RESURFACING PROCESS

This can be basically broken down into two separate areas:

Making ready – the system by which the surface to be coated is prepared. This would take the form of repairing damage, cleaning, etching and protecting the surrounding area’s etc.
This process is very similar for all trained professional operators. This has to be done to a high standard or even the best top coat will not last.

Finishing – the application of primers and top coat by spray. If done correctly will leave a smooth high gloss long lasting finish. As you can see, both procedures are crucial to the final result.

SYSTEM

All bonders/primers & topcoats have been designed and manufactured to work in harmony producing a superior result - a long lasting high gloss or satin finish.  The material has been tested to the following standards:

HOW IS IT DONE

Process: Surface Preparation for enamel & porcelain
After the surface to be coated has been completely cleaned and repaired (if required) it is either
       A) Etched and Primed
       B) Coated with a chemical bonding agent
Pros and Cons
Chemical bonding agents have been around for some time and are very effective on some surfaces.  They are designed to help chemically bond the top coats to the substrate especially in wet and humid conditions.  Those made for use in this industry are all Silane based and were developed to help bonding on difficult surfaces (Glass and glass like surfaces.)  We manufacture our own bonding agent.  Etching the surface prior to the application of any epoxy primer has stood the test of time and has proved to offer the best adhesion for enamel and porcelain surfaces.
Our epoxy primer has been specially formulated to hold tightly to the substrate while retaining flexibility the resists cracking.
Operators using our system apply bonder after etching. (You can never be over prepared.)      Other surfaces are prepared using different techniques but with the same aim – to have the surface properly prepared for the primers & topcoats.

TOP COAT:

Mega-Fast Poly-Glass is a modified Aliphatic Urethane Coating.  These type of coatings were primarily developed for the aerospace industry to protect surfaces that were subjected to sand and ice particles at hundreds of miles per hour.

All products tested to the following standards
